44 of her team's 46 points: Vote for the High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week

Brockton High's Sunali Carter has been voted the High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week.

The senior received over 17,000 votes to earn the honor. Carter did a little bit of everything in a win over Cardinal Spellman as she finished with 16 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals.

And this week's candidates are...

Megan Doyle, Sr., Weymouth: Doyle finished with 24 points, 13 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 blocks in a 61-33 win over Marshfield.

Nicole Leung, Soph., Woodward: Leung scored 44 points in a 46-45 win over Penguin Hall.

Natalie Kerstein, Jr., Middleboro: Kerstein scored 26 points in a 66-38 win over Carver.

Sarah Chenette, Sr., Cohasset: Chenette scored 24 points to go with 8 rebounds and 5 steals in a 49-27 win over Hull.

Nazilah Herisse, New Heights: Herisse had 28 points, 10 rebounds and 7 steals in a 56-38 win over Minuteman.

Phoebe Carroll, Soph., Hopedale: Carroll had 19 points and 12 rebounds as the host Blue Raiders got past Nipmuc on Friday, 41-26.

Elena Davis, Sr., Hopkinton: The senior captain carried the Hillers (5-2) with 10 points and six rebounds in a 46-33 win over Westwood, just two days after she netted 18 points, seven rebounds and four steals in a 44-28 win over Holliston on Wednesday.

Meghan Deneen, Sr., Marlborough: Deneen kept the Panthers undefeated with 23 points in a 49-46 win over Nashoba on Tuesday. Deneen added eight points in a 58-34 win over Groton-Dunstable.

Lindsey Grattan, Jr., Millis: Grattan scored 20 points in a 55-48 loss to Norton.

Madeline Haher, Jr., Hudson: Haher scored 20 points with seven rebounds in a 54-41 loss to Tyngsborough.

Jazmin Hancock, Soph., Tri-County: Hancock led Tri-County with 19 points in a 30-27 win over Cape Cod Tech on Thursday.

Erica Hills, Sr., Dover-Sherborn: Hills scored 22 points as the Raiders (6-1) edged Norton, 54-51.

Skyla Jack, Sr., Blackstone Valley Tech: Jack scored 16 points in a 64-21 win over Monty Tech. On Wednesday, Jack scored 15 points with four steals in a 50-14 win over Abby Kelley Foster.

Sarah Poland, Soph., Lincoln-Sudbury: Poland scored 18 points and pulled down seven rebounds as L-S (5-2) edged host Bedford, 49-48.

Ava Renneker, Sr., Wayland: Renneker notched 15 points, propelling the Warriors to a 49-41 victory over host Westford Academy.

Megan Simpson, Jr., Holliston: Simpson led all scorers with 24 points as the Panthers defeated Ashland Friday night, 57-31.

Riley Whittier, Jr., Advanced Math and Science: Whittier led all scorers with 16 points to boost the visiting Eagles (5-2) in a 52-32 win over Main South on Friday. Whittier also scored a game-high 17 points in a 47-41 loss to Maynard on Wednesday.
