With gasoline prices at the highest levels seen in history, one way to keep the traveling to a minimum is taking in a cruise night in southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. 

There are events held every day of the week with no admission charge. Events typically begin at 4 p.m. and conclude at dusk and will run through October, if weather permits.

Let's through some of the options to check out in the area.

Monday

The Massachusetts Motor Vault offers cruise nights in Bridgewater, Mattapoisett and Warwick, Rhode Island. They're also adding a new one at the Whitman VFW. 

Tuesday

Tuesday's options include Whites Restaurant in Wesport. The Auto Zone Store hosts an event in Weymouth, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, and Cobb Corner in Canton.

Wednesday

This is one of the busiest nights of the season with plenty of options. Local options include Star Drive in East Taunton, the Lafayette Club in Taunton and Shaw's Market in Hanover. Starting on June 1, the Sons of Italy in Stoughton will host a new cruise night. 

Drive a little further and you'll find options at the VFW in East Freetown, the Ekls Club in Attleboro, Nordstrom's at the Warwick, Rhode Island, Mall and Fredrickson Farms in Scituate, Rhode Island.

Thursday

Wheels of Time holds an event in Brockton at the Brewster Ambulance Garage in the Campello section of Brockton. They alternate on Thursdays with the at MA Cruisers at Patriot Place. Check their web pages for the dates.  Also, on Thursday night there's a cruise at the Auto Zone Store in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.

Friday

The Trinity Church in Canton hosts an event that begins at the foot of Blue Hill. On June 3, for one week only due to a carnival, the event will be held on Sumner St. in Stoughton. 

Saturday

Saturday's Cruise offerings include the Get Fresh Cafe in Abington, Gold's Gym in Millis, Larz Anderson Auto Museum in Brookline, Mattapoiset Wharf and McDonald's in Cumberland, Rhode Island. 

Sunday

Your choices include  Crescent Park in Riverside, Rhode Island, and the East Bay Grill in Plymouth. 

The 49th Bay State Auto Show at the Endicott Estate in Dedham will be held July 10 at 7 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m.  Some 1,200 entries for classic cars over 25 years old are expected.
