It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Paul Joseph Scott, age 87, born March 9, 1936 of Taunton, MA. He passed away at home on December 18, 2023. Paul was born in Brockton the son of the late Charles and Phoebe (Brewster) Scott and was the husband for just over 60 years to Barbara (MacDonald) Scott whom he adored.

Paul grew up in Brockton where he graduated from Brockton High School and spent his entire life in the auto repair business. He worked for Beretta-Buick, Steve’s Auto Body, and Paul Wolfe Motors during his lifetime.

Paul was a kind and gentle man who loved the Boston sports teams, playing cards with family and friends; especially whist and SCAT, working in his yard, spending time with his family, and taking trips to Las Vegas. He loved going to Maine to see his great grandsons.

In addition to his loving wife Barbara, Paul is survived by his three sons, Gregory and his wife, Katrina of South Carolina, Matthew and his wife Linda of Northborough, Brian and his fiancée, Denise Walenten of East Freetown; seven grandchildren and three great grandsons. He is also survived by a brother, Walter of sagamore Beach, MA. He was predeceased by his sisters; Hazel Blatchford, Edna McNevin, Ethel Matta, Lillian Swederkas and Phyllis Leidtkh, and also his late brothers; Robert, Stanley, Donald, Ralph, John, Charles, Raymond, and Kenneth.

Arrangements are under the care of the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780. A graveside service will be held at the Pleasant St., Cemetery in Raynham at 11 am on Saturday, March 9, 2024 to which all who loved him are invited.
